The Sandinista National Liberation Front (in Spanish: Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional, or FSLN) is a socialist political party in Nicaragua. The FSLN is one of Nicaragua's two leading parties. Sandinistas took their name from Augusto César Sandino (1895-1934), the historical leader of Nicaragua's nationalist rebellion against the US occupation of the country in the 1930s.
